My family is days away from welcoming our newest addition. I have a little boy named Ezekiel who will soon to be a older brother to a little girl. Her name is Evangelina, which means “good news messenger”. When my wife and I were in our first year or so of marriage, I had a dream that I would have a daughter named Evangelina (yes, it was weird). My wife didn’t like the name at first but it has grown on her. That was about 6 years ago now and we are both very excited to meet our little girl. This picture is cool because it shows all 4 of our shoes together as a family but I didn’t catch the symbolism until I decided to write this post.
Ephesians 6:15 tells us that we are to have feet prepared with the readiness of the gospel of peace. I believe my daughter will be used for great things with a name like “good news messenger”.
Soli Deo Gloria. To God be the Glory.
God, help me to make you proud by training these children up to walk in their destiny. Allow me to be brave enough to walk out my destiny and leave a legacy for my children.
