Here is my most recent single called Learning In Circles. The song is written to encourage people to understand the importance of pain and difficult circumstances. It is based loosely on James 1 with intention of spurring on the modern church to be bold and embrace difficulty. God is patient and wants the best for us. Difficult circumstances can be painful but James says it clearly
It’s the testing of your faith that produces perseverance,
The grind sharpens the sword and it’s the hammer that shapes it,
Erasing what’s not useful – God prunes who He loves so embrace it,
Sparks fly for the purpose of chipping away what is not needed for the design
Take your time to learn or you may need a second chance on rewind
I don’t believe in karma but things come in rotation
Since creation, God’s shown mercy and second chances are in His nature

At times it feels easier to give up and be like common society,
“Why do we even try” they say – “get outta here with that piety”,
“don’t be different, just fall back” – Quit talking because your talk is cheap!
The church in America mocks the clock and looks locked in mediocrity,
Hypocrisy is rampant and we are scared to offend anyone,
Do what I say but not what I do – where are the ready ones?!
If we are scared to claim Jesus when life gets hard then wait,
There may be a day when it’s illegal and they’ll seize you if you pray,
Not trying to scare you but where are the real ones hiding?
When I say real – picture yourself with the choice of denying or dying,
Underground churches raided and people getting beaten,
It’s happening now worldwide – safety’s an illusion that’s fleeting,
Choose this day whom you will serve the King’s demanding,
Take His hand He’ll never flake or forsake you and leave you stranded
Stagnant water breeds disease and allows life to parasites,
So put away the lukewarm and fight to allow God to breathe new life

Pulled against the wall when in circles centrifugal,
The antithesis of perfect a chemical against the spiritual,
Ritualistic monotony riddled with glimpses of hope,
Selling souls ideas instead of making the sin choke,

They say transparency is foolish and pride is the aim,
The game of promoting your name pumped cool for fame,

Joy – overwhelming can be had and real peace,
